Q: When is the Polish language exam for foreigners held?

Certificate exams are held three to four times a year. Example dates for 2026: February 14-15 (Saturday-Sunday) for levels B1 & B2, April 25-26 (Saturday-Sunday) for levels B1 & B2 & C1, June 27-28 (Saturday-Sunday) for levels B1 & B2, October 17-18 (Saturday-Sunday) for levels B1 & C1 & C2, December 5-6 (Saturday-Sunday) for levels B1 (adults) and B2 for children. Registration typically opens about two months before each session.

Q: How much does the exam cost?

For adult candidates, the exam fee at levels B1/B2 is about €150, and at levels C1/C2 about €180. Additional fee for certificate issuance after passing is around €20.

Q: What does the B1-level exam look like?

The exam includes a written part (listening, reading, grammar, writing) and an oral part (speaking, approximately 15 minutes).

Q: How is the exam conducted and where?

The exam takes place at an authorized examination centre. For example: written part on the first day starting at 10:00 AM; oral part on the second day between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. A valid identity document with photo is required; electronic devices (phones, tablets, smartwatches) must be deposited.

Q: When will I get my result and certificate?

Results are generally released a few weeks after the exam. Once you pass and pay the certificate issuance fee (~€20), the certificate is issued within a timeframe specified by the examination centre.
